The Core

Pyroclasm: An avalanche of fire and ashes. Just keep the volume up and let the roof come down!
The Lady's Smile: No comment on that one, sorry.
Perseids: Imagine a clear August night: The first sparks and then the great meteor showers...
Through the Haze: The morning after...
Phoenix: Reborn from the ashes
The Core: Some things are better left undisturbed, or else... Many thanks to the photographer Marc Szeglat (for further information and superb pictures see also at http://www.vulkane.net) for granting me permission to use his amazing picture of the Erta Ale volcano, which conveys perfectly my thoughts while composing that song.
Mr. Parsons's Raven: A homage to one of my favourite bands since childhood: The Alan Parsons Project. I've always been fascinated by their song "The Raven" (see also at http://www.the-alan-parsons-project.com/tales-of-mystery-and-imagination). That extraordinarily beautiful composition... For a time I almost couldn't get the raven's aka the bass's tapping out of my head. What better way was there to exorcise that particular 'demon' than putting it into a song of my own? I had a great time composing it even if it almost tore my computer to shreds - but it is probably the best song I ever made. Now I'm asking The Alan Parsons Project for permission to present my version here. Keep your fingers crossed, eh? In the meantime I absolutely recommend you check out the original song, too. It is well worth it and you will appreciate what I did with its motifs all the more...
Works on this album started in fall 2008 and lasted until 30/05/2016. The first 6 songs are provided as mp3 (320kbps) for you to download below - for your personal interest only, of course. The last one will follow if I can get the permission of the original creators.
